General Terms and Conditions of Hotel Services

​These General Terms and Conditions of Hotel Services (hereinafter – the “Terms”) set out the rules and conditions for the provision of services by UAB “MICHAELSON boutique HOTEL” at the “MICHAELSON boutique HOTEL”, located at Žvejų St. 18/18A, Klaipėda, LT-91241, Klaipėda City Municipality (the “Hotel”).

 

1. Hotel Services

In these Terms, “Hotel Services” means guest accommodation and catering services, rental of conference and/or other event facilities, and Spa BRÌCOŁA services.

 

2. Reservation Submission and Confirmation

2.1. Reservations for Hotel Services can be submitted via the Hotel’s email, by phone, in person at the Hotel, or through the Hotel’s website.
2.2. When making a reservation, the individual guest must provide the number of guests, their full names, the desired room or rented facilities category (type), arrival and departure dates, and the chosen payment method for the Hotel’s services.
2.3. Reservations may be guaranteed by a credit card, prepayment, or a contract with the Hotel.
2.4. Upon registration at the Hotel, the guest(s) must complete the “Hotel Guest Registration Form”, providing their full name, address, date of birth, arrival and departure dates, and signature.
2.5. Guests must present an identity document upon registration. If an identity document is not provided, the guest cannot be registered, and the Hotel’s services will not be provided.
2.6. Only guests registered with the Hotel administration are allowed to stay in the rooms.
2.7. The minimum age for check-in is 18 years.

 

3. Contract for Hotel Services

3.1. A contract for Hotel Services is considered concluded when the guest receives a reservation confirmation by email.
3.2. Verbal agreements between the parties are valid only if confirmed in writing.
3.3. Concluding the contract for Hotel Services supersedes any previous agreements regarding the terms and conditions of the Hotel Services and obliges the parties to perform the concluded contract.
3.4. If any provision of the Hotel Services contract is deemed invalid or is renegotiated, the remaining provisions of the contract and the contract as a whole remain in force.

 

4. Liability and Storage of Belongings

4.1. The Hotel is not responsible for guests’ left or lost property.
4.2. Valuable items are recommended to be stored in the safes provided in the rooms.
4.3. Guests are liable for material damage caused to the Hotel due to their own actions or the actions of their invited guests.
4.4. Guests are responsible for their own safety while using the Hotel Services and must comply with Hotel rules.
4.5. If a guest fails to fulfill their obligations under the Hotel Services contract or misuses the accommodation, catering, conference, or SPA facilities, the Hotel has the right to unilaterally terminate the contract without prior notice and demand payment of 100% of the services confirmed in the reservation.

 

5. Force Majeure

5.1. The parties’ liability for non-performance of the Hotel Services contract due to force majeure is governed by Article 6.212 of the Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania.

 

6. Check-in and Check-out

6.1. Guests may check in from 3:00 PM on the reservation date.
6.2. Upon registration, guests receive an electronic room key and code, which are intended exclusively for their use.
6.3. Guests must check out by 11:00 AM on the departure date.
6.4. Guests wishing to check out later than 11:00 AM must inform the Hotel reception to extend the validity of the electronic key, if possible.
6.5. Hotel reception staff are not obliged to accommodate requests for late check-out beyond 11:00 AM.
6.6. If a guest checks out by 2:00 PM, they must pay 50% of one night’s accommodation; after 2:00 PM – 100% of one night’s accommodation.
6.7. If a “Hotel Services Contract” or another individual agreement has been concluded, the arrival and departure times specified in that agreement apply.
6.8. If more guests stay in a room than indicated in the reservation confirmation, an additional fee agreed upon by the parties applies for each extra guest.
6.9. Guests planning to arrive later than 10:00 PM must inform the Hotel in advance; otherwise, the reservation may be canceled.

 

7. Prices and Payments

7.1. Prices (including VAT) and payment terms for Hotel Services are specified in the “Hotel Services Contract”, individual agreements, offers, on the Hotel website www.hotelmichaelson.com, and other official Hotel promotional materials.
7.2. Payments can be made in cash, by credit card, or bank transfer.
7.3. A €50 security deposit is required upon arrival, payable by card. The deposit will be refunded within 14 days after check-out, following an inspection of the accommodation.
7.4. Unless otherwise agreed, payment for Hotel Services must be made after the services are provided. Individual contracts or agreements may stipulate different payment conditions.

 

8. Cancellation Policy

8.1. Cancellation, shortening of stay, or no-show fees apply as follows:
8.1.1. Cancellation/shortening at least 3 days before arrival – 100% of one night’s accommodation.
8.1.2. Cancellation/shortening less than 3 days before arrival – 50% of the total reservation value.
8.1.3. Cancellation/shortening or no-show less than 24 hours before arrival – 100% of the total reservation value.

 

9. Other Conditions

9.1. The Hotel will store items left by guests for 3 months after departure and will not use them during this period.
9.2. Guests must use Hotel property and equipment properly and report any damage immediately; damages caused by the guest are the guest’s responsibility.
9.3. Guests must pay for minibar, laundry, ironing, restaurant, and other Hotel services upon departure, informing the reception.
9.4. Some common areas are monitored by video cameras for security purposes.
9.5. Smoking is prohibited in all Hotel rooms and facilities. Violation incurs a €100 fine.
Pets are not allowed.
9.6. Rooms are cleaned daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
9.7. Guests are responsible for any consequences caused by their or accompanying minors’ or visitors’ failure to follow the rules.
9.8. Items in the rooms and other Hotel facilities are property of MICHAELSON boutique HOTEL and may not be removed, except for single-use hygiene items.
9.9. Noise is prohibited from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Guests disturbing public order or other guests/employees are liable according to the law.
9.10. By providing personal information in the “Hotel Guest Registration Form”, guests consent to the collection, use, and processing of their data for commercial/advertising purposes and internal statistics.
9.11. All information exchanged between the Hotel and guests is confidential and may not be disclosed to third parties without written consent, except as required by law.
9.12. The Hotel processes personal data in accordance with the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Lithuania and other applicable laws.
9.13. Vehicles may be parked in the public area of the Hotel premises (€10 per day, no reservation possible).
9.14. Electric vehicle charging stations are available; the service is payable.

Complaints should first be submitted directly to the Hotel via email or at the reception. Consumer disputes can be addressed through the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority (Vilniaus g. 25, 01402, Vilnius, www.vvtat.lt) or via the EU ODR platform: http://ec.europa.eu/odr/.
